HOW TO TURN INTO A VIDEO AND HAND IN:

1) Open Premiere Pro CC, select NEW PROJECT
2) Name it, choose the appropriate save folder (i.e. F:\), hit OK
Picture
3) Edit > Preferences > General
Picture
3) CHECK the box next to "Default scale to frame size" AND set "Still Image Default Duration" to 3 seconds. Hit OK
Picture
4) Import your photos by going to File > Import, and selecting all of your desired images from their F:\ folder. Remember that Ctrl-clicking selects individual images within a folder and Shift-clicking selects a consecutive range of images within a folder. Ctrl-A typically selects ALL images in a folder.

5) In the lower left corner of your screen, click the PROJECT tab if it's not already visible. You should see thumbnail images for the pictures you just imported.

6) In order to make sure they display in numerical/alphabetical order (they often don't in tile view), click on the "three lines button" (see below) and select LIST.
Picture
7) Select all of your images and DRAG them to the TIMELINE window (just to the right).
NOTE: If your images were not named/numbered in alphabetical/numerical order, you'll have to drag each image one at a time in the order you want.

Picture
Because we already set the image length in step 3, your images are by default 3 seconds each. Hooray!

Note the image below, which shows how to navigate within your timeline. For the next steps, you'll want to zoom in so you can see what you're doing more easily.
Picture
8) Now let's add some transitions between images. Go back to the bottom-left window, select the EFFECTS tab, and open up the VIDEO TRANSITIONS folder.
Picture
To apply a transition, open up the subfolder you want, choose which transition you want, and click and drag it over to the timeline, dropping it on the track right between two images.

Remember that Ctrl-Z is UNDO!

Preview a segment by using the play controls in the top-right preview (AKA "Program") window. You can use the blue vertical line in your timeline to select a place to start playing.

9) Time to import audio. Go to bensound.com and choose one of the royalty-free sound files to download. Go to File > Import and select the sound file from your Downloads folder.
(If Downloads doesn't appear as an option, you can find it by going to C:\users\(yourusername)\downloads.)

10) The audio file should appear in your project window. Drag it to your timeline (to the A1 track).
Picture
11) Change your zoom/scale level so you can see the entire audio track, then left-click on the right edge and drag backwards to trim it. You want to trim it to just a little longer than the video (so we can fade out the audio).
Picture
12) To fade out the audio, go back to the Effects panel and select Audio Transitions > Crossfade > Constant Power. Drag it to the end of the audio timeline and adjust the size of its box to determine how long the fade-out lasts.
Picture
13) Adjust / trim the length of the audio track so it aligns with the end of the video (with fade) just the way you want.

14) When you're satisfied with your video and your transitions, render your video by going to File > Export > Media.

15) At the Export menu, change these two settings only:
Picture
16) Once you export your video (which should now be a manageable filesize), it'll turn up in your F:\Adobe folder somewhere. To view it, right-click on it and select Open With > VLC Player.

17) Go to Google Classroom, and complete the rubric (you'll need to explain your video a bit; don't forget this step!).

YOU MUST LOG YOUR CAMERA SETTINGS FOR ALL 24 IMAGES (IN THE ORDER IN WHICH THEY APPEAR IN THE VIDEO) IN THE RUBRIC!!!

Add your video file directly to Classroom! Turn it in and you're done!
