Day 6 - *PanningThis is a ONE-DAY project. It is due at the end of TODAY'S CLASS!
Day 6 Assignment
You will hand in FOUR panning images of cars driving past the front of the school. Your goal in each shot is to have the vehicle centered in the image and taking up as much of the frame as possible.
The four shutter speeds you need to take are the following:
1) 1/125s (there will be no blur in this image)
2) 1/15s (background should be significantly blurred)
3) YOUR CHOICE (1/40s or slower)
4) YOUR CHOICE (1/40s or slower)
In all shots, the subject needs to be in focus. The background blur will vary depending on your chosen shutter speed.
CAMERA SETTINGS:
Shooting Mode: S (Shutter priority)
Shutter Speed: See above for list of 4 shots
ISO: 200 or even 100 for the slower shots
Lens Focus: A
Focus Mode: AF-C
Continuous or single-shot? Continuous
You are encouraged to crop your images in Photoshop (please hold down Shift to keep proportion) to achieve ideal composition (i.e. get the car centered and filling the frame).
TO HAND IN:
1) Name your images 1.jpg, 2.jpg, etc. and put them in their own Google Drive folder: Photo 10 > Exposure > Panning
2) Get the shareable link for the folder and copy it (Ctrl-C)
3) In Classroom, fill in the rubric and ADD the link (Ctrl-V to paste) before handing in.
EXAMPLE (of proper framing and panning):
