1) VIDEO LESSON (with Quiz)
Once the video is done, inform your teacher and you will receive a link to log on to Google Classroom and check for an online quiz. This is "open-book" so refer back to the video if you're unsure of the answer. ONCE THE QUIZ STARTS YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO SPEAK! This should take <5 minutes.
2) HOW TO TAKE A PROPER PANNING SHOT
- Shoot with your subject moving left-to-right or right-to-left; your panning should remain parallel to your subject.
- Use (S) Shutter Priority mode.
- Use continuous shot (i.e. burst) mode so that each press of the shutter button gives multiple shots.
- "Track" your subject and keep it exactly in the centre of the frame as you pan to follow it.
- As much as possible, have your subject fill the frame.
3) PRACTICE SHOOTING!
Next day's assignment will have you shooting images of cars, so let's start practicing today. Your class will go (with your teacher) to the street out front, where you will photograph cars driving by.
