Dodge & Burn Tools Assignment
After working along with the tutorial videos and the sample images, your job is to give an enhanced creative treatment to TWO IMAGES using the dodge, burn, and sponge tools (or the 50% gray layer method) in Photoshop.
ONE image can be from the Internet (choose a high resolution, please).
ONE images must be from your existing collection (or you can take a new one in 10 minutes or less)
Not sure what to do? Start by burning some shadows and dodging some highlights (remember to use low opacity brushes!). You can also do "selective colour" by desaturating part of your image with the sponge tool. Your goal is to create a different mood through your edits.
Refer to the tutorial videos above for how to work these tools.
TO HAND IN:
Name your photos "1A, 1B, 2A, 2B" (i.e. before and after), place them in the TEAMS folder, and add the link to your reflection questions.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS:
1. What did you find the most useful from this tutorial?
2. What changes did you like the most? What Changes did you like the least?
3. Highlight changes in your own image that changed the mood or tone?
