Photography ReviewToday, your teacher will take you through a series of skill tests designed to help you remember the important shooting skills you learned in Photo 10.
REVIEW OF SHOOTING MODES:
1) AUTO MODE
- Makes all decisions for you, including flash and ISO.
- Don't use it! You're better than that!
2) (P) AUTOMATED PROGRAM MODE
- Camera chooses a combination of shutter speed and aperture designed to expose properly
- You set the ISO
3) (S) SHUTTER PRIORITY MODE
- You set the shutter speed (using the thumb wheel) and the ISO
- Camera chooses an aperture that balances with your other settings
4) (A) APERTURE PRIORITY MODE
- You set the aperture (using the thumb wheel) and the ISO
- Camera chooses a shutter speed that balances with your other settings
5) (M) MANUAL MODE
- You set shutter speed, aperture, and ISO
- Use the light meter on your LCD screen (and in viewfinder) to guide your choices
* Try practicing using this CAMERA SIMULATOR!
This will help remind you how to interpret the data shown in your viewfinder.
OTHER INFO
1) VR (Vibration Reduction): Use this unless your camera is completely stationary (i.e. on a tripod, on a table, etc.)
2) Focus: Check the side of your lens to set your focus to (A) Automatic or (M) Manual.

11: A long-shutter shot of your computer tower (in the dark) with camera resting on table
When finished:
